Hypotheses in the Life Sciences announces its second issue, and shows the value of ideas and hypotheses for biological research

The first issue of Hypotheses in the Life Sciences is now published online.  Hypotheses in the Life Sciences (HyLS), the important new forum for ideas in the life sciences, is published by Buckingham University Press. Leading research journals Nature and Science have both noted and welcomed the launch of this important new open access journal.

HyLS’s mission is to publish rigorously argued, if untested, scientific ideas, to bring the best new scientific thinking into the mainstream of scientific research. Original papers will present new insights that explain biological processes or mechanisms. Papers will be reviewed by an Editorial Board of eminent life science researchers, as well as external peer reviewers as needed.
